Soft tissue augmentation has become a common treatment option for patients with gingival defects. While numerous techniques have been developed to achieve the desired results, many of the core principles have stayed the same. It is our goal to review WHY we graft, WHEN it is appropriate to graft, and the many TECHNIQUES and MATERIALS we can employ to meet our patients’ needs.
